Here's a sample of some of the great work that's been done in class!



Using acrylic paint, Alexis learned the techniques of impasto to add depth.



Alexis applied the principles of composition learned in class. She also learned about highlights to make things look more 3D.
Christopher studied the art work of Mary Blair in class to learn how to blend using watercolor


This whimsical bird was 7 year old Gracie's first watercolor!


Janae learned from the art work of Mary Blair to do this piece in pastel.

 
Haley applied principles of composition to create this very artsy jelly fish in watercolor!


Brandon learned about detail and blending for this parrot in pastel.

This student practiced perspective, composition and movement
 in this painting of the fisherman done in water color pencil.


This student practiced patience and careful observation in order
 to accomplish the fantastic detail of this scratch board piece.


Davin worked on reflection and highlights to add the three dimensional feel to this vase. 
It was a gift for his father who had traveled to China. 
He used principles of composition as well as new techniques with acrylic paint.

 
 This student was amazed to find out how many colors can be found in something green. 
He also learned about creating effect with different kinds of brush strokes.
 This hedgehog is done water color pencils.
 
Using principles of composition learned in class helped to make this piece unique and interesting. This student also learned to add depth by adding shadow and color.
This chameleon was done in water soluble oils.
