These are a series of Motifs on illustration board done in watercolor and
ink with gold, copper, and silver leaf.Like life and with people, beauty is often found beneath the surface. For
this reason I didn’t put any gold, copper, and silver leaf above the water
surface.
The different types of plants symbolize different individuals. The gold,
copper and silver symbolize people having different talents and gifts. The
fossilized prehistoric fish symbolize the unique culture history and stories
that each person has.
